Keyhole Surgery
Professor Sheen has extensive experience in keyhole or minimal access surgery. He undertakes surgery for gallstones, liver & pancreatic cancer, groin and abdominal wall hernias via minimally invasive methods. He also undertakes splenectomy surgery by keyhole techniques. In addition, Professor Sheen can undertake complex cancer surgery by keyhole techniques and undertook the world’s first robotic TEP groin hernia repair using the versius robotic system (CMR). Professor Sheen also undertakes a number of randomised control trials comparing different types of keyhole approach for incisional hernias as well as a comparative trial for sportsman's groin repair using either open or minimally invasive techniques.
